Top Secret Security Position
Fort Wayne, IN (On-Site/Office) Duties: Implements and administers the SAP information security program. Serves as a security professional for the development, testing, fielding, and protection of advanced and special access program technologies. Implements and administers the SAP personnel security program. Establishes local procedures for processing requests for security accesses for military, civilian, and contractor personnel. Implements and administers the SAP physical security program. Implements DoD, USAF, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and MAJCOM policies and directives for the construction, protection, and operation of all advanced programs facilities. Implements and administers SAP industrial security program. Implements and administers the Industrial Security Program for SAP-related actions through the use of DoD, USAF and MAJCOM directives and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. The employee will be required to take a drug test. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. The employee is required to maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. This is a deployable position. Employee may be required to take a random counter-intelligence polygraph and submit to background checks as a condition of employment and/or continued access to the SAP. This position is a designated national security position. Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DoD 3305.13-M. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. Qualifications: General Experience: All Series GS-0080 personnel must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level. Each applicant must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career level. Applicants must have the experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Specialized Experience: Knowledgeable on the development, testing, fielding, and protection of advanced and special access program technologies. Experienced in the classification management program and special access program in developing classification guidance and making personnel security decisions. Skilled in DoD, USAF, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), and MAJCOM policies and directives for the construction, protection, and operation of all advanced programs facilities. Experienced in contractor-related security actions for the protection of special access program information and other sensitive information originated or controlled by the DoD and other agencies and knowledgeable in risk-management techniques in designing security compensatory measures to mitigate facility vulnerabilities. Must have at least 12 months of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.
