Job Title: Material Handler
Location: 100% Onsite in Boston Schedule: Two workers: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM One worker: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Job Overview:
The Material Handler is responsible for various warehouse functions including managing inbound and outbound materials, preparing domestic and international shipments, and assisting with inventory control and storage activities. This position requires physical endurance and attention to detail in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Check and receive incoming freight from outside vendors and internal shipping points. Coordinate with inventory control to label and store incoming materials. Pull and pack finished goods from shelves. Process shipments and prepare all domestic and international paperwork. Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders for timely dispatch. Assist with regular cycle counts and area counts. Ensure proper storage and organization of warehouse stock. Qualifications and Education:
1-3 years of relevant material handling or warehouse experience preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel). Experience using pallet jacks is a plus. High School Diploma required. Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift over 60 lbs. Must be able to stand for over 4 hours at a time. Frequent bending, lifting, and movement required. Ability to walk up and down stairs regularly. Must be able to move lead crates and operate a pallet jack.
