Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist
We are looking for an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. This is a Contract-to-permanent position where you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Process vendor invoices with accuracy and ensure timely payments. Verify and reconcile expense reports, purchase orders, and account coding. Communicate with vendors to address invoice discrepancies and inquiries. Execute payment transactions, including checks, wire transfers, and other methods. Generate and distribute client or tenant invoices, ensuring proper documentation. Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue payments, and resolve delinquencies. Post payments and reconcile financial accounts to maintain accurate records. Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial workflows and processes. Maintain detailed records of accounts payable and receivable activities, preparing regular reports. Utilize accounting software such as Yardi to streamline processes and manage financial data effectively. Requirements: Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with accounting software like Yardi, Sage, or QuickBooks. Basic knowledge of general accounting principles and Excel. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams. Experience in the real estate or property management industry is a plus but not required.
