Electrical Technician / Controls Technician
Join a pioneering team dedicated to reducing space transportation costs and enabling the colonization of Mars with Space-X. As an Electrical Data & Controls Technician, you will be instrumental in the maintenance and installation of the electrical systems for the Launch Hardware on the newly designed Starship Rocket launch pads. This is a long term contract position with the possibility for direct hire for those who wish to join the Space-X team full-time. Pay Rate: $35.00 - $44.00 an hour Per Diem Allowance: Qualified Candidates will in addition receive $125.00 a day up to 7 Days in Per Diem for contract portion of this assignment (up to but to not exceed 12 months) Job Description / Responsibilities
Install and terminate wiring for launch pad instrumentation and data acquisition systems. Lay and bend Conduit (1 - 4 inches) Wire terminations (Dax and Field) Set up skids / modular units Install connectors, connector pins, terminals, and lugs. Perform continuity checks and correct wiring errors using measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and voltage calibrators. Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot failures and issues derived from test data. Write, create, and organize work planning documents and instructions. Install and modify electrical conveyances, including conduit and cable tray. Install cable and cable assemblies. Build intricate cable assemblies using Mil-C connectors and contacts. Troubleshoot AC power distribution equipment up to 480VAC. Build, terminate, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based manufacturing hardware. Fabricate support structures, enclosures, and conveyances for electrical distribution equipment. Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency certificate (required) Basic understanding of direct current electrical theory (required) Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools (required) Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining PLC-based systems (required) Experience performing wire terminations, wire routing and wire harness fabrication (required) Experience laying / running / bending conduit (required) Why Work Here?
