Engineering Technician II

The ideal candidate will play a key role in the development, evaluation, and validation of exciting, differentiated technologies to position us as a market leader in Membrane Chromatography. Role Responsibilities: Follow established procedures to modify membranes with wet chemistry techniques. Preparation of chemical solutions and buffers. Set up and conduct experiments, tests, and analyses. Test and improve manufacturing work instructions and methods. Work in a class 7 cleanroom environment. Evaluate material properties with techniques such as chromatography and spectroscopy. Support product development activities with product verification experiments and activities. Regularly communicate expectations with research and development engineers/scientists. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and work demands. Document, report, and present test results according to engineering requirements. Create and document new test procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Willing to learn and understand project backgrounds. Work in both team environments and independently. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry or equivalent work experience. 2+ years of prior experience in a laboratory (this can include college course work). Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications: Wet lab chemistry experience. Experience in chromatography. Experience in technical report writing. Knowledge of test and measurement equipment. Good interpersonal and communications skills. Knowledge of lab environment, safety practices, and cleanliness. Strong analytical, observational, and time management skills. Commute to the office daily. Hourly Pay Range: $24.08 - $30.09, depending on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
