Accounting Manager
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in San Diego, California. In this role, you will take ownership of key financial processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in accounting and leadership within the dynamic telecom services industry. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial results. Conduct regular reviews of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities to ensure compliance and accuracy. Generate and distribute weekly commission reports to facilitate payroll and sales processes. Prepare daily cash flow reports, monitoring liquidity and maintaining a clear understanding of the organization's cash position. Track and reconcile deferred revenue balances to ensure proper recognition in line with accounting standards. Address ad hoc requests for financial analysis, reporting, and process improvements from management or stakeholders. Create and review journal entries while ensuring all account reconciliations are accurately documented. Develop detailed and insightful profit and loss (P&L) presentations for management, highlighting financial trends and key takeaways. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles. Strong expertise in deferred revenue recognition and accounting best practices. Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms, along with advanced Excel skills. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting financial insights effectively.
