Staff Accountant
Wolverine Fuels, the nation's largest Western Bituminous coal producer is hiring a Staff Accountant. JOB PURPOSE: The Staff Accountant position is responsible for all areas relating to accounting functions for Wolverine Fuels, LLC. This position will be responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks and activities. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Calculate & report monthly & quarterly Royalties, Reclamation & Excise tax. Perform daily and monthly cash reconciliations Prepare monthly account reconciliations. Responds to inquiries from Business Managers regarding financial reporting issues. Collaborates with Payroll Manager on payroll reporting. Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close. Calculate and report quarterly other Tax. Expense report administration and reconciliation Assist with financial audits. PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (MINIMUM): BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in accounting. Two years plus in financial reporting/general ledger area. Proficient at Excel, Outlook, Power Point, SAP and/or other systems. Experience in the coal industry preferred.
