Lastwall Networks, Inc. is a Canadian cloud-based security provider delivering a robust, core-to-cloud identity platform designed to combat emerging cyber threats. Our solutions provide risk-based access control and anti-fraud capabilities to clients in Defense, Intelligence, Government, and Critical Infrastructure. With offices across Canada, Hawaii, and a remote staff across North America, we provide a flexible, fully remote work environment.
What Youll Do As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will: Ensure continuous improvement and operation of our FedRAMP-High compliant infrastructure. Own infrastructure and platform engineering efforts for our AWS GovCloud environment, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage large-scale, distributed systems. Champion modern architecture, observability, and operability practices, advocating for secure, scalable design decisions. Guide team members in making optimal trade-offs to build the best infrastructure for our customers needs. Maintain and enhance tooling for seamless testing and deployments, fostering rapid feedback and collaboration between product and infrastructure teams. Deepen our use of tools such as Terraform, Node/TypeScript, and Rust. Participate in Incident Response/Troubleshooting and guide teammates through the Learning From Incidents (LFI) process.
What Youve Done Required: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science OR equivalent experience Minimum 5 years industry experience in cloud-native environments US or Dual US/Canadian citizenship
Preferred/Exposure: Infrastructure as Code: AWS CDK, Terraform Cloud & Container Technologies: EC2, Docker, Kubernetes Networking: TCP/IP CI/CD: GitLab, CodeCommit, CodeDeploy Observability & Security: CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, security scanning/automation, Prometheus Databases & Search: Postgres, RDS, Aurora, Amazon OpenSearch Compliance: FedRAMP/NIST-800, GovCloud deployment, FIPS-140-2 Operational Tooling & Programming: Node.js, TypeScript, Bash scripting, Rust Other Skills: GraphQL, building/managing secure, scalable distributed systems, Incident Response in critical life and safety environments
