PIMCO’s Fee Strategy Team works to shape PIMCO’s Pricing Strategy across its products, taking into account our product strategy, competitive dynamics, and PIMCO’s near and long-term business objectives. PIMCO’s Fee Strategy Team partners with Product Strategy, Account Managers, and firm leaders to develop, test, and implement pricing recommendations across investment strategies and investment products. Successful candidates for this position will be highly logical thinkers and curious learners who have interest in pricing strategies for new and existing products. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in recording and analyzing fee requests and their outcomes Work alongside Fee Strategists to solve complex pricing questions using analytical frameworks Develop an understanding of PIMCO’s Investment Strategies and our peer and competitor positioning to inform our pricing recommendations Assist in drafting internal business presentations Contribute to improving our pricing capabilities by enhancing existing processes and supporting the development of ongoing technology projects. Partner with Fee Strategists to collect and interpret data, which will be used to design pricing experiments, gain insights, and implement changes across products REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in math, economics, finance or related field Minimum 2 years industry or PIMCO experience preferred Strong Quantitative Skills (with statistics, modeling, and/or SQL a plus) Internal candidates should be familiar with PIMCO applications: CM Portal, PAM, Perform PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS Possess a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail Demonstrates strong independence by effectively navigating challenges on their own, confidently delivering well-considered solutions and questions without the need for continuous guidance Passion for solving complex problems, and building scalable processes Outstanding executive-level verbal and written communication skills Be results oriented with ability to effectively prioritize Aptitude towards mathematical and financial calculations, and strong analytical skills Have a strong sense of honesty and integrity Maintain a professional demeanor in both routine and highly charged environments; flex responses appropriately to each situation Desire to contribute to and grow with the organization over time Display a sense of teamwork, collaborating both within the team and with other groups, and help colleagues learn PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus.
