The Senior Education Research Specialist designs, conducts, analyzes, evaluates, and disseminates research and program evaluation studies to support a comprehensive research agenda related to undergraduate and graduate education at Chamberlain University. Responsibilities include developing and submitting grant proposals, employing advanced statistical models, creating visual insights, and writing manuscripts aligned with the University’s strategic initiatives. Under supervision, the specialist collaborates across teams to ensure research and reporting goals are met. Participates in designing and executing a research agenda aligned with the University’s strategic goals, focusing on academic effectiveness and student outcomes. Develops and implements research protocols for data collection, management, and reporting in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Research. Conducts literature reviews and critically analyzes prior research studies. Develops and validates assessment and evaluation tools and methodologies. Performs program evaluations using appropriate metrics and advanced analytical techniques. Manages and analyzes large data sets using quantitative and qualitative methods. Uses advanced statistical modeling to generate actionable insights and recommendations. Translates research findings into clear narratives and visualizations for diverse audiences. Establishes research methodologies to leverage evaluation results for operational improvements. Prepares comprehensive research reports to guide academic program decisions. Designs, implements, and evaluates research projects addressing academic needs. Serves as an expert in research proposal development, literature reviews, and statistical analysis, sharing best practices. Contributes to organizational goals and strategic planning. Builds relationships across departments to ensure research activities are completed as planned. Shares best practices in educational research and continuous improvement. Participates in developing innovative research strategies reflecting emerging higher education trends. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Master’s degree required; PhD strongly preferred, with focus on educational research and evaluation in nursing, education, or healthcare. Minimum of 5 years research experience required. 5+ years of professional experience in educational research or related quantitative discipline preferred. If holding a doctorate, must demonstrate success in securing external funding, publishing peer-reviewed work, or presenting at conferences. Expertise in research processes, including data collection, advanced analysis, report writing, and presentations. Proficiency in survey design and deployment (preferably Qualtrics). Expertise in analyzing large datasets with SPSS (current version). Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and leadership skills; collaborative mindset. Excellent project management with high attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects. Independent worker with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI). Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Effective team collaboration skills, both in-person and online. Ability to lead and motivate staff effectively. Additional Information
