Exempt Job Description The Relationship Manager is responsible for the administration of designated scholarship and endowed programs within the Scholarships and Programs Division. This includes interacting with donors, students, and institutional & interdepartmental staff to maintain and grow programs within the Manager’s portfolio. The role focuses on relationship building and maintenance to ensure program renewal, increased funding opportunities, and enhanced customer/donor engagement. Program administration may be based on geographical location, need, merit, and/or degree type (e.g., Communications, Music, STEM, Social Sciences). Primary Responsibilities and Duties Manage daily operations of sponsored scholarship programs, including planning, coordination, awarding, and processing related to scholarship funds. Prepare reports for donors and collaborate with the Development Officer on funding new and ongoing scholarship initiatives. Coordinate with Area Development staff and donors to implement effective programs. Oversee the administration of programs in collaboration with the fundraising department. Monitor financial activities of scholarship programs. Establish and maintain positive relationships with UNCF’s 37-member institutions’ enrollment management administrators and other institutions to ensure accurate student verifications. Collaborate on preparing and submitting detailed annual reports on scholarship awards and coordinate with UNCF Accounting for financial reporting. Track the distribution of renewable scholarship funds to ensure proper annual allocation. Coordinate with grantors and selection committees. Respond to client inquiries within 24-48 hours and maintain records in UNCF’s Salesforce CRM. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities May supervise one or more professional or administrative staff members. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. 3-5 years of experience in program administration or management. Familiarity with higher education and the culture at HBCUs. Understanding of college admissions, financial aid, and scholarship funding processes. Other Skills and Abilities Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred. Strong report writing, business correspondence, and procedural documentation skills. Effective presentation skills for diverse audiences. Problem-solving and interpretative skills. Sound professional judgment. Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
