The Senior Video Editor will play a critical role in producing high-quality video content across all CBH brands that will inspire our customers and showcase our unique style. They will be the creative and technical leader in our post-production process, responsible for all aspects of video editing including interpreting storyboards, finessing edits from round-to-round, color grading, and final delivery.
This is a 5-day onsite position based out of our Chicago, IL Photo Studio.
A day in the life as a Senior Video Editor…
Serve as the lead editor and/or finishing editor on a variety of projects, transforming raw footage or work-in-progress edits into compelling, finished video content
Work closely with the video team manager, art directors, and videographers to understand creative direction during the editing process
Attend weekly video review meetings with creative leadership; Responsible for presenting videos, taking notes, providing information, and creative solutions as needed during the meeting
Show up to meetings prepared and engaged. Manage and direct junior editors, providing mentorship, feedback, and guidance to ensure a high standard of work across all projects
Execute advanced post-production tasks, including complex editing, motion graphics, VFX, and color grading
Ensure all edited content aligns with the CBH brands visual and narrative language, making sure every detail is on-brand and polished
Oversee the entire post-production workflow, including media management, project organization, and timely delivery of final assets for various platforms (web, social media, etc.)
Maintain an up to date knowledge of applicable digital programs What you’ll bring to the table…
Deep understanding of storytelling through editing, with the ability to craft compelling narratives from raw footage
Instinctual understanding of the brand's visual language and can translate it into a polished and compelling video narrative
Meticulous eye and the ability to spot and correct minor flaws, inconsistencies, or distractions to ensure the final video is flawless
Clearly articulate your ideas and collaborate effectively with a variety of internal and external partners.

10 years of professional experience as a working Video Editor, with a robust portfolio showcasing a range of post-production skills.
Experience in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects
Experience with Slack and Asana
Knowledge of professional video editing software, cinema cameras and color spaces
Detail oriented with strong verbal and written skills
Minimum Starting Rate: $28.00 Hourly Up to: $40.00 Hourly Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
