By partnering with healthcare providers and patients, we deliver compassionate care that prioritizes health and well-being.About the Role:As a Pharmacy Technician at Arizona Home Care/Patient Care Infusion, you will play a vital role in preparing customized medications for patients requiring infusion therapies. You will work with both sterile and non-sterile compounds, handling hazardous and non-hazardous substances while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining the highest standards of quality control according to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Your schedule would be either Friday-Monday, or Saturday-Tuesday every week, 10-hour shifts. Enjoy having 3 days off each week in the middle of the week! No overnights required! Responsibilities:Accurately compound sterile injectables, IV medications, and non-sterile formulations such as topical creams, oral solutions, and more, following all compounding procedures and safety protocols.Maintain, calibrate, and ensure the proper functioning of compounding equipment, including scales, electronic meters, and other essential tools used for medication preparation.Ensure that sterile environments meet cleanliness and safety standards in accordance with USP 795, USP 797, USP 800, and FDA 503A guidelines to guarantee medication safety and quality.Safely handle both hazardous and non-hazardous materials, ensuring all safety measures and regulatory requirements are strictly followed during preparation and disposal.Participate in regular audits, inspections, and quality control checks to maintain compliance with internal and external standards.Maintain accurate documentation of all compounding procedures, inventory records, patient information, and any other related activities, ensuring strict adherence to record-keeping standards.Assist with inventory management for both sterile and non-sterile compounding materials, ensuring that all supplies are stocked and available for operations.Work closely with the Pharmacist in Charge and other team members to ensure high-quality care and services are provided to patients. Assist in optimizing workflow and addressing any operational concerns as they arise.Assist with patient intake, greeting customers, and answering general inquiries.Fill prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and ensure accuracy.Verify patient medication history and ensure prescriptions are filled correctly.Process medication orders and handle phone calls related to patient needs, including medication refills and inquiries.Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with patient questions and concerns regarding medication usage and safety.Help in the preparation and organization of medication inventory, ensuring proper storage and rotation of stock.Participate in preparing medication orders for both inpatient and outpatient services, including checking for prescription accuracy and compliance.Assist with data entry into pharmacy software systems, ensuring that records are maintained accurately and efficiently.Ensure that medications are stored in accordance with legal, safety, and regulatory guidelines, including proper disposal of expired or unused medications.
