Our manufacturing client is seeking a Plant Superintendent to join their greater Chicago area team.On site; local candidates only.

The Plant Superintendent will be responsible for the coordination, supervision, and direction of production related personnel activities. This includes management of production methods and procedures, product technology, and equipment capabilities.

Responsibilities of the Plant Superintendent

• Providing daily plant operations support, acting as back up to plant manager when needed
• Collaborating with management on production and quality standards development
• Coordinating production, maintenance, procurement, quality control, and safety activities
• Reviewing and analyzing production processes to identify root causes of non-conformities and operational challenges
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement methods that eliminate issues and enhance product quality
• Partnering with engineering to recommend and support modifications to machinery and equipment that improve production efficiency and product standard
• Adjusting and revising production schedules as needed to meet operational demands
• Clearly communicating schedule changes, production updates, and procedural adjustments to all shifts and employees.
• Leading, coaching, and developing direct reports to ensure strong performance and professional growth
• Performing additional duties as assigned to support overall production goals

Requirements

• Minimum of ten (10) years manufacturing experience in positions of increasing responsibility including five (5) plus years in a leadership position
• Knowledge of SMED, Lean Manufacturing, SPC, 5S, and Six Sigma
• Ability to utilize both an individual and collaborative approach to effectively problem solve
• Familiarity with finance and accounting related to manufacturing

Employment type: Direct hire

Compensation: $125k-$135k + 12.5%

The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
