Short Description

The Director of Evangelization and Missionary Discipleship supports the parish pastor in evangelization and ministry efforts to ensure all parishioners encounter Jesus Christ and deepen their faith. As part of the archdiocesan Office for Parish Renewal, this role involves supporting, guiding, equipping, and leading lay leaders in evangelization initiatives and ministry development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Parish Renewal Leader, Pastor, and others in implementing a vision that fosters encounters with Jesus Christ and discipleship formation, including:
    • Leading the Evangelization Team, focusing on a Kerygmatic approach and discipleship pathways.
    • Coordinating the welcoming, accompaniment, and engagement of new parishioners and families.
    • Fostering a culture of ongoing discipleship through small faith communities and retreats.
    • Recruiting, training, and supporting leaders of parish ministries.
  • Supervise and support ministry staff and volunteers in evangelization and discipleship efforts.
  • Collaborate on developing an annual budget for pastoral ministries with key church leaders.
  • Lead special projects or ministries as assigned by the Parish Renewal Leader.

Additional Details

The archdiocese offers a comprehensive benefits package. The annual salary range for this position is $58,700 - $73,000, with actual pay based on education, experience, skills, location, and organizational needs.
