Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT certification and BLS to join a Level 1 Trauma Center for 12-hour night shifts, working in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities Work in a Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Children's HospitalPatient population includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatricsCaseload averages 40 patients per day across 2 MRI roomsMRI procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, CINE, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, MIP, MRP, spin echo images, surface coils, T-1, and T-2 weighted imagesNight shift schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 18:30 to 07:00 (3x12 hours)On-call required as neededUses Epic EMR and PACS; Epic experience preferredSiemens scanner experience preferredFloat to other units or affiliate hospitals is expectedExperience required in outpatient, inpatient, ER, NICU, PICU, adult ICU, and children's hospital settingsPrimary responsibilities include performing MRI scans for a wide range of patient ages and diagnoses in a high acuity environmentMust be able to float to other departments or locations as neededFirst-time travelers acceptedScrub color is burgundy or hunter greenEligible return staff must have been gone for at least one yearTravel pairs accepted with restrictions on working in the same unit if relatedSchedule may be changed with two weeks' notice to balance staffingFingerprinting required for certain specialties per Ohio law, with 4-6 week processing time; cannot start until results are receivedOrientation includes required facility modules
