Were looking for a detail-oriented and dependable
Title Clerk
to join our growing dealership. If you're organized, thrive on accuracy, and enjoy the excitement of the automotive industry, this role is for you!
What You'll Do: As our Title Clerk, youll be the key player in processing all vehicle titles, ensuring timely and accurate legal documentation, and supporting the overall vehicle sales process.
Process all new and pre-owned vehicle registrations for appropriate state titling. Prepare and submit tax and title documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Verify payoff information & prepare checks for payoff on new and traded vehicles. Ensure all documentation, records, and logs are complete, accurate, and in compliance with state regulations. Manage out-of-state title verification and track outstanding title issues. Collaborate with accounting, F&I managers, and sales staff to streamline processes. Stay up to date with title laws and licensing changes through training and DMV seminars. Oversee title runner tasks and cross-train team members as needed.
What We're Looking For: Strong attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Eager to learn dealership software and office tools. Dependable team player.
Education & Experience: Associate degree or higher preferred. Equivalent experience in a dealership or administrative role considered in lieu of degree. Previous title clerk or DMV experience is preferred, but not required.
