General Manager Talent Shop is seeking a driven
General Manager
to lead a new, upscale restaurant at The Wharf in Washington, DC. Inspired by Chesapeake Bay traditions and seasonal sourcing, this concept combines a lively raw bar, day-boat fish and shellfish, regional meats and produce, craft cocktails, and private dining rooms that showcase the best of Mid-Atlantic hospitality. What You’ll Do Lead all aspects of restaurant operations: FOH, BOH, bar service, and private dining. Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, building a culture of hospitality and accountability. Drive financial performance through effective P&L management, labor control, and cost optimization. Deliver consistent, memorable guest experiences across daily service and special events. Partner with local purveyors and farmers to highlight sustainable, seasonal ingredients. Collaborate with ownership to achieve bonus metrics, including guest satisfaction, sales growth, and cost efficiency. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of management experience in upscale or fine-casual dining. Proven track record of hitting revenue goals while leading high-performing teams. Strong financial, organizational, and leadership skills. Passion for sustainability, local sourcing, and genuine hospitality. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
