Located on Coronado Island, just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and features over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas, with 65,000 square feet of banquet space and 10 food and beverage outlets, including 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining. As a Pastry Cook, you will create, prepare, produce, and bake all pastries, breads, rolls, and desserts for the hotel's food and beverage outlets, aiming to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Your responsibilities will include: Prepare all food items according to standard recipes, ensuring production requirements are met for banquet, outlet desserts, breads, and breakfast pastries. Monitor the age and condition of all food items to maintain quality. Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards. Keep refrigeration equipment, storage, and work areas clean and organized, adhering to health regulations. Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus as needed. Display and set baked products on mobile carts per specifications. Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items.
