We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced
Senior Controls Engineer
to lead or contribute to detailed hardware and software design of process automation control systems projects. Responsibilities include defining architecture requirements, developing detailed software design specifications, programming PLC and SCADA applications, configuring thin client server applications, process-based historian databases, tuning control loops, and providing startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and qualification services. This role offers an excellent opportunity to oversee projects from concept through commissioning. Must be local to, and willing to commute to Phoenix, AZ You Will: Design and develop application/control systems for varying complexities Evaluate and develop alternative system solutions to meet requirements Modify program/system logic involving multiple subsystems Gain proficiency in programming languages and control device networks for PLCs and PCs Engage with customers to understand their business environment and define scope, plans, and deliverables Work effectively in a team, focusing on customer service and continuous improvement Travel at least 30% to local sites Appreciate documentation and planning in a regulated environment Embody our Core Values, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and professional development You Have: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related fields Minimum 5 years of experience or equivalent education Consulting experience Proficiency in troubleshooting control systems and understanding of process controls Experience with Rockwell products such as ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PlantPAx, and Studio 5000 Experience with other PLC platforms (GE, Siemens, Modicon) Experience with SCADA/HMI packages (Proficy, Wonderware) Experience implementing detailed electrical control system designs Knowledge of control system networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet) Data Center experience is a plus Understanding of Biopharmaceutical processes, GMP, and validation Knowledge of S88 Batch standards and batch system implementation Excellent communication skills Collaborative and team-oriented mindset Benefits include 401k with match, prompt enrollment in medical benefits, generous paid time off, and ongoing training and development opportunities.
