Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 18 months of experience and required certifications for a rotating inpatient, outpatient, and ER setting.
Responsibilities Work in a 3-room nuclear medicine unit serving inpatient, outpatient, and emergency patientsExpected patient volume of 13-15 cases per dayDay shifts, 5x8 hour schedule, typically 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PMProcedures performed include cardiac, bone scan, liver/spleen, lung, thyroid, tumor localization, and myocardial scansPreferred experience with brain scans, renal flow, and SPECT studiesUse of Siemens equipment preferredDocumentation and charting required in CernerFloating required within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitalsResponsibility for performing specialized diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures across a broad patient populationWill be required to float between departments and to affiliate hospitals as neededMust complete pre-start modules averaging 4-6 hoursCandidates are expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidaysScrubs or dress code requirements will be provided upon assignmentLocal candidates (IN residents) are accepted for this allied rolePerm or PRN employees must be separated for at least 12 months before reapplying as travelersUp to 5 days of non-holiday requested time off are automatically approved; additional time off requires approval
