Cyber Excepted Service Position

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA J6(GSVC)/JOINT SERVICE PROVIDER. Responsibilities: Leads integration and synchronization of J6 policies, plans, and cross-functional issues to ensure alignment with the J6 Director's vision. Leads internal and external engagement efforts, serving as a strategic liaison with JDIRs within the Agency. Executes critical, time-sensitive special projects and tasks as directed by J6 leadership. Provides front office business management support, facility management (including seating), and leads special projects as assigned. Manages climate surveys for J6 and develops and implements improvement strategies based on results. Studies, reviews, and analyzes DISA J6's current IT plans and operations to determine current and future information systems requirements. Key advisor within DISA J6, incumbent speaks with authority and advocates DISA J6 positions where significant decisions concerning possible expansion of technologies in regard to DISA J6 products and services are concerned. Serves as an advocate for DISA J6 and assists in development of outreach strategies to promote DISA J6 products and services to the various federal, academic, research, and technical user communities. Qualifying Experience: Experience leading people, managing tasks, and preparing presentations or briefs. Experience demonstrating attention to detail, customer service, oral communications, and problem-solving issues.
