SAP Asset Management Module Lead
Mount Indie is seeking an experienced SAP Asset Management (AM) Module Lead to support and lead Navy ERP efforts in asset lifecycle management. The successful candidate will serve as the functional lead responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP AM solutions that optimize the Navy's physical asset tracking, sustainment, and audit readiness objectives within the Navy ERP environment. The role demands a deep understanding of Navy logistics, plant maintenance, and property accountability processes, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across business, functional, and technical teams. Key responsibilities include: Serving as the functional SME and lead integrator for the SAP Asset Management module within Navy ERP Leading the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP AM processes for equipment tracking, maintenance planning, and asset lifecycle visibility Translating Navy requirements into SAP AM system functionality, ensuring alignment with DoD regulations and audit readiness mandates (FIAR compliance) Working closely with Navy stakeholders, technical developers, and cross-functional SAP teams (FI, MM, PM, PS, WM) to deliver seamless integrated solutions Overseeing and developing key deliverables, including Blueprints, Functional Specs, Configuration Documents, and Test Scripts Providing leadership and mentorship to junior analysts and ensuring adherence to best practices in SAP configuration and documentation Supporting data migration efforts, ensuring accurate mapping and transformation of legacy asset data into SAP Collaborating with Navy logisticians, maintenance planners, and finance personnel to enhance asset visibility and reporting through custom reports and SAP standard tools Participating in Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Leading and supporting cutover planning, go-live, and post-implementation stabilization activities Supporting the development of training materials and providing end-user training sessions as required Required qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field 10+ years of SAP experience, with at least 5+ years of hands-on configuration and implementation experience in the SAP Asset Management (AM) or Plant Maintenance (PM) modules Proven experience as module lead on at least one large-scale SAP implementation in the public sector (DoD or Navy ERP preferred) Strong understanding of Navy maintenance and asset lifecycle processes, including equipment records, work orders, notifications, and preventive maintenance Experience integrating AM with other SAP modules such as MM, FI, CO, and PS Familiarity with DoD logistics and asset accountability policies, including Serialized Item Management, UII, and DPAS integration Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance Preferred qualifications include: Experience supporting Navy ERP (SAP ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA) SAP certification in Plant Maintenance (PM) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Knowledge of Navy-specific systems such as R-Supply, One Touch Support, and Navy eBusiness Suite Experience with SAP Solution Manager, Business Process Documentation, and transport management Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Navy program management frameworks
