Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Cath Lab Technician Location: Acute Care Setting Shift: 12-Hour Days (12 hr days, weekends as scheduled, 8 on/6 off rotation; every other weekend until another traveler is hired) Overview: We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technician to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cath lab procedures and possess the necessary certifications to provide exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Operate in a 4-person team consisting of 2 Registered Nurses (RNs) and 2 Technicians. - Collaborate effectively with team members to manage an average of 16 cases per day in the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) settings. - Scrub or assist in imaging for various procedures, including cardiac catheterizations (PCI, LHC, RHC), vascular interventions, and complex IR cases. - Familiarity with equipment such as impellas, IABP, shockwave devices, IVUS, FFR, IFR, swans, and roto devices. - Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures, maintaining a sterile environment. - Provide support during on-call shifts and respond to call requirements with a response time of 30 minutes. - Assist in maintaining equipment and supplies for the lab. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience is required. - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification via CCI is preferred. - Familiarity with GE MacLab equipment and willingness to transition to Philips Xper in 2026. - Exposure to IR and peripheral vascular cases is highly desirable. - BLS certification is required. Schedule: - 12-hour shifts from 0530 to 1800, with weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements. - Must be able to commit to every third weekend and participate in holiday call rotation.
