Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Echo Tech with at least 4 years of high-acuity, fast-paced facility experience to perform quality echocardiograms in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities Work in a department with 25 exam rooms, 5 echo labs, and 3 vascular ultrasound labsCare for patients with CAD, hypertension, post-TAVR, TEE, and occasional pediatric cases (3-4 per week)Caseload averages 8-10 scans per shift with a 1:1 patient ratioFloat between outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings as neededUses EPIC EMR, Cannon US unit in the clinic, and Philips equipment in the hospital10-hour rotating day shifts, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotating weekend shiftsWeekend shifts occur every 3rd weekend; on-call is required 1 weeknight per week and one weekend every 4th weekend, with a 30-minute response timeScheduling is provided in 4-week cycles, 4 weeks in advancePerform high-quality echo procedures for diverse patient populations including adults and pediatricsBe part of a supportive team including a receptionist, lead Echo Tech, and 3-4 techs for daily assistanceUnit provides hospital orientation and two preceptor shifts at the start of assignmentSoft skills such as clinical judgment, efficiency, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively are valuedScrub color is flexible and any color may be wornEmployee parking is availableFirst-time travelers may be considered upon reviewHoliday coverage required with hospital assignments only, as clinic will be closed on holidays
