Manager Nursing
The Manager Nursing is responsible for the delivery of nursing care for Cardiac Critical and Progressive Care. This is a general management position with the bonus of knowing your work is ultimately improving people's lives. Managing in a hospital environment requires supporting staffing, working with vendors, handling budgets etc. It, also, gives you the opportunity to direct operations that directly impact the health care of others. With 12 ministries and access points across Indiana and Illinois, Franciscan Health is one of the largest Catholic health care systems in the Midwest. What You Can Expect: Manage the Cardiac Critical and Progressive Care units Prepare, manage and control budget, monitor and analyze variances. Direct employees to meet all mandatory Human Resource requirements. Complete performance appraisal of staff members. Quality compliance. Oversee the process of assuring the clinical competence of personnel. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care - Required 5 years Nursing/Patient Care - Required 2 years Previous managerial experience with demonstrated leadership skills - Preferred Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board in state of practice - Required Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association - Required Licensure - Nursing Leadership Licensure within 36 months - Preferred Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association - Required Travel is required: Never or Rarely Equal Opportunity Employer It is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law.
