Job Purpose
The
Shipping and Receiving Clerk
plays a critical role in coordinating the shipment, receipt, and inventory management of avionics parts, components, and equipment. This position ensures that all incoming and outgoing materials are accurately processed, documented, and handled safely to meet quality and regulatory standards. Additionally, the Clerk collaborates closely with the customer support team, your supervisor, and internal departments to optimize delivery schedules.
Essential Job Functions:
Pull, pack, and ship work orders. Purchase and maintain an adequate inventory of all consumable items and detail parts to ensure availability when required. Responsible for the proper handling, receiving and shipping of all customer parts and supplies received into and leaving the shop. Receive all parts from outside vendors, keeping all related paperwork and parts together. Ship parts to customers are per specified shipping instructions utilizing FedEx, UPS and DHL Software. Ensure all shipments are packaged neatly and properly to prevent damage. Schedule and track Outside Vendor parts to meet projected scheduling. Pick-up or arrange for pick-up at local area vendors who do not deliver or when a priority situation demands. Complete and file Shipping Check List Ensure the work area is always kept clean and safe. Physical Demands:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weights of up to 70 pounds. Repetitive hand movements and manual dexterity required. Corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges. Work Location:

Education/Training:
High School Diploma. Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a warehouse or related field preferred.
