Job Description
Nordstrom’s Inventory and Supply Chain (SC) team is seeking a dynamic leader for the Principal, Inventory, and Supply Chain Product Manager role. This position offers an opportunity to develop innovative solutions to manage Nordstrom’s largest asset. The successful candidate will make strategic inventory decisions and execute actions across Nordstrom's Supply Chain network, impacting the company's ability to offer a broad product selection closer to customers. The role involves leading the identification and oversight of solutions for inventory management and supply chain operations, collaborating with internal teams to define vision and roadmaps, and improving inventory efficiency from vendors to customers. This position is ideal for a visionary leader who drives initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Daily Responsibilities:
Develop and execute customer-centric strategies to improve satisfaction. Evaluate projects to ensure they meet customer expectations. Innovate mechanisms for project coordination and scalability within the organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals. Manage high-impact products, building roadmaps and analyzing requirements. Ensure project implementations align with objectives and adapt as needed. Monitor key performance metrics and conduct audits. Partner with UX, Research, and Engineering teams on feature design. Work with engineering teams during development to maintain feature objectives. Identify and address process inefficiencies, proposing operational improvements. Document SOPs to guide functional requirements and implementations. Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of product management experience leading large projects. At least 10 years combining inventory, supply chain, product, and program management skills. Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. Experience in defining product roadmaps and managing product lifecycle. Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Experience leading and mentoring teams in product, inventory, or supply chain roles. Familiarity with trends and technologies in inventory and logistics management. Benefits:
