Position Purpose :
To provide quality repair service for customers following the vehicle manufacturer's specifications. Job Duties : Include but are not limited to: Diagnostic testing, tune-ups, brake services, suspension repair, tire repair & replacement. In addition, the mechanic will help the service technicians perform inspections on other vehicles. All staff members are also responsible for keeping tools organized & the shop clean, safe & presentable. Job Responsibilities : Perform detailed inspections on customers vehicles to determine the service & repair needs Recommend repairs based on the findings of the inspection Communicate the findings effectively to the manager/ service advisor Proper research to look up and identify specifications for different vehicles Perform functions of a service & inspection technician as required Perform all necessary repairs according to vehicle specifications. Complete assigned repairs in a timely manner Other duties as requested or assigned Job Requirements : Have a valid drivers license & be authorized to work in the U.S Have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, & be a motivated team player Be able to work in a fast-paced environment & multi-task Ability to operate automotive service equipment, ie. fluid service equipment & other specialized tools Must be able to lift & move work-related items up to 75 pounds Must be able to push, pull, lift, & bend at the knees & waist. Maintain a clean and organized work area Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines. Complete ongoing computer based training program modules as required by corporate Minimum 1 year automotive repair shop/ dealership experience ASE certified preferred.
