We are currently looking for full-time – Screener Starting at $40,000- $43,000 – contingent upon experience, education, etc. The R & C Screener position is located inside the Statesville Correctional Center in Crest Hill, Illinois. This position is responsible for conducting a brief interview including an evidence based questionnaire to determine which clients would be eligible for treatment services during incarceration. This position will also make the appropriate referrals, collect all the data and submit necessary paperwork to the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC). Essential Duties and Responsibilities Comply with confidentiality regulations and seek appropriate consent from the client

Using established clinical tools, IDOC and TASC protocols, Screener utilizes a screening tool to determine offenders need for substance abuse treatment upon admit into Illinois Department of Corrections

Facilitate explanation and signing of required consents, program agreements and related documents for transfer to substance abuse treatment within IDOC

Screener prepares and facilitates weekly Treatment Readiness Groups using the Texas Christian University curriculum, with offenders on the waiting list for substance abuse treatment

Screener will supervise Inner Circle, a peer led recovery support group made up of clients involved in the substance abuse treatment program at the IDOC facility.

Educate criminal justice personnel regarding TASC's mission, philosophy and services; the treatment system and addiction

Report monthly on number of eligible clients and transfers to appropriate authority and administrative personnel

Report any critical client care issues or treatment system issues to appropriate supervisory personnel

Our Ideal candidate: High school diploma or GED equivalent Must be able to pass an IDOC Background check Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite Demonstrated experience in group facilitation Knowledge of the current ASAM placement criteria, DSM-V as it relates to substance-related disorders, and Code of Ethics for substance abuse professionals, or the ability to acquire the knowledge Comfort working inside a correctional setting and with persons convicted of serious violent offenses Flexibility in thinking and approaches to leading group discussions Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Our benefits package includes: Medical/Dental/Vision/Life
