Inside the home we protect critical aspects of home function such as plumbing, heating and cooling, appliances, power surges, hot water heater, and interior electrical. Outside the home we provide protection for critical lines (water, gas, wells, sewers, electric and septic). We primarily go to market B2B2C, partnering mostly with water/gas/electric utilities and municipalities to offer our product leveraging their brand for marketing and often adding our subscription fee to the water/gas/electric bill itself. Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our Commercial Finance team. This individual contributor role will fulfill a critical function within the broader organization – using primarily operational data, you will provide decision support and analysis to business functional areas. This position will act with other members of the Commercial Finance team as co-pilots of the business with the functional leaders, helping to brainstorm, model solutions & find opportunities for growth and efficiency. Located at our office in Naperville, our office environment is a key driver of our company culture and employee experience, so a regular in-office hybrid model (T-TH in office and M & F remote) is required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: In conjunction with Senior Finance Manager, Commercial Finance and Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial Finance, develop monthly financial variance packages to enable General Management & Operations business partners to provide commentary on how their accounts impact overall company P&L and how the business is run. Act as an expert on our P&L, deeply understanding the unit economics of each product and market and utilizing that understanding to manage and lead company-wide strategic projects and functional deep-dives. Partner with General Management & Operations, Existing Partnerships, and Business Development teams to evaluate financial impact of new growth initiatives and sales opportunities. Manage and oversee financial aspects for all utility partnership contract renewals and renegotiations, providing financial analysis and strategic thought partnership throughout the process. Implement standardized processes, cadence, and performance views across the finance organization to help streamline work and provide insight more quickly to the business. Collaborate with other Commercial Finance team members for quarterly forecasts to ensure market and product specific nuances are captured in financial projections.
We're Excited if this is You! Experience and Qualifications of the Role: Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in a finance role with strategic and/or commercial finance experience preferred. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to turn ambiguous business scenarios into a complex financial model and frame business issues identified by executives in a straightforward manner. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint), with expertise in advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities. Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance or related field (required). Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to lead a project from start to finish. Outstanding interpersonal and
communication/presentation
skills, with the ability to partner well with other team members and interface effectively with all levels of management. Solid organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task in a complex and deadline-driven environment. Have a bias for action and an ownership mindset through proactive engagement with functional owners.

The base pay range for this position is $111,605 - $150,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered will depend on qualifications, experience, education and skill set. The compensation offered may also include an annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive plan or commission target.
