Location: Remote (Must be available for occasional onsite meetings in Saint Paul, MN)

We’re looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team and lead strategic IT planning and architecture initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business and technology and can drive alignment with CMS’s Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) modularity vision.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define and document “as-is,” “to-be,” and future-state enterprise architecture.
  • Provide oversight across infrastructure, security, data, and application architecture.
  • Align IT strategy with business goals and federal standards (MECL, MES).
  • Develop scalable, adaptable enterprise solutions and roadmaps.
  • Advise leadership on architecture best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 8+ years in an Enterprise Architect role (education can substitute for some experience).
  • Experience in at least 4 long-term architecture engagements.
  • Strong understanding of systems thinking, IT governance, and enterprise frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
