Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I trauma center, requiring strong ED background and trauma experience.Job Details•Work in a busy Emergency Department within a Level I trauma center setting,•73 rooms plus 24 hallway beds, with no separate fast track area,•Patient volume averages 350 per day in the main ED,•No direct trauma patients, but requires experience in Level I or II trauma settings,•Patients include stroke, STEMI, and medically cleared psychiatric cases; sitters are used for suicidal patients,•Security is present in the ED,•Shifts are 3p-3a and 7p-7a, 12-hour shifts,•Float required to offsite EDs, including a Fairfax City location with 10 beds and a Reston/Herndon location with 7 beds,•Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience highly preferred,•On-call requirement: 1-2 shifts per schedule period,•Must work 1 major and 1 minor holiday per 6-week schedule,Job Requirements•Active RN license required,•Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI),•Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required,•Must have previous Level I or II trauma center experience,•Epic EMR experience preferred,•Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred,Additional Information•Responsible for providing care to diverse emergency department patients including stroke, STEMI, and psychiatric cases,•Expected to float to two offsite EDs as needed,•No psych patient holding; patients are medically cleared for admission,•Team includes security and use of sitters for certain patients,),•hash,:•7880833091549339442,
