This role is pivotal in providing high-quality care to unstable newborns, specifically those born at 32 weeks and greater. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and will be actively involved in the management and treatment of neonates with various conditions. Key Responsibilities: - Provide exceptional nursing care to neonates in a Level II NICU.- Attend all deliveries and support high-risk deliveries.- Administer special procedures, including breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPap, and procedure sedation.- Monitor infants' health and respond effectively to their changing conditions.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for infants and their families.- Engage in couplet care and transition nursery support. Qualifications: - Required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)- Current state-issued Registered Nurse license or active Compact license. - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Level II NICU setting.- Experience with special procedures and care for unstable newborns, particularly those in the 29-34 week gestational range. Skills: - Expertise in breastfeeding support, handling of breast milk, and various feeding techniques (bottle, breast, gavage).- Proficient in isolation precautions, care of Central Lines/Implanted Lines, umbilical catheters (UAC & UVC), and IV vasopressors.- Familiarity with respiratory support systems, including Bubble CPAP and oxygen delivery systems. Additional Information: - Floating to postpartum and labor & delivery units may be required.- Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed.
