Position Description:
As an Electrical Engineer II , you will work closely with sales, project managers, procurement, production, quality assurance, and customers to design, develop, and improve products and electrical systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, design expertise, and the ability to collaborate across teams while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
Responsibilities:
  • Meet with stakeholders to define requirements for new or existing products/systems.
  • Allocate and manage tasks for project development and design.
  • Develop electrical product designs, including single-line diagrams, bills of material, and wiring lists.
  • Foster a culture of electrical safety within the department and across the company.
  • Participate in technical reviews, customer meetings, and resolution of technical issues.
  • Ensure concepts meet client needs, standards, and project timelines.
  • Develop and supervise factory/on-site acceptance test plans.
  • Create designs compliant with regulations, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Focus on manufacturability and reliability while maintaining system performance.
  • Build prototypes, conduct testing, and analyze results.
  • Provide support during the build process to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for manufacturing issues.
  • Deliverables may include: technical support for quotations, customer correspondence, BOMs, production/drawing packages, test plans, operation/maintenance manuals, submittals, project close-out documents, and cost analysis.
  • Manage change control effectively.
  • Travel or after-hours availability may be required.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited).
  • 2-5 years of power distribution experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of UL standards (UL 891, UL 1558, UL 67, UL 857, UL 1008, UL 62368/60950) strongly preferred.
  • Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Troubleshooting experience in accordance with engineering documentation.
  • Proficiency with E-Plan, Promis-e, AutoCAD Electrical, and MS Office.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
