Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper/Accountant to join a great office team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in accounts receivable and payable , QuickBooks , account reconciliation , and budgeting , with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and corporate accounting practices.
This position requires a professional who can manage day-to-day accounting functions, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to the company's overall financial health and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain financial reports and budgets
- Track and report on company expenses , revenue, and other financial data
- Process payroll entries and related journal entries (if applicable)
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies
- Utilize QuickBooks for daily accounting functions and financial tracking
- Assist in preparing documentation for audits and tax filings
- Recommend and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Proficient in QuickBooks , Excel, and accounting software
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting standards
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Competitive salary: $45,000 - $60,000 , based on experience
