We are looking for a detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate data entry to ensure financial records are complete and up-to-date.
- Prepare and organize accounts payable and accounts receivable documentation.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions.
- Maintain proper filing systems by scanning and organizing financial documents.
- Assist in preparing flowcharts and invoices for expense allocation.
- Update and manage budgets within Excel spreadsheets.
- Match supporting documentation to financial statements for review.
- Collaborate with the accountant to support daily operations and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with basic accounting principles, including fund accounting practices.
- Contribute to maintaining a dependable and consistent work schedule.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in financial data.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent schedule.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with filing systems, scanning, and document management.
