Head of Engineering

We’re looking for a Head of Engineering to lead and scale a world-class engineering team that turns vision into execution. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving the technical direction of the company while ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of business-critical product milestones. You’ll play a key role in hiring top talent, establishing strong engineering processes, and fostering a culture of ownership, excellence, and accountability. You'll work closely with the Tech Lead to influence architecture, uphold security and compliance standards (including SOC 2), and accelerate product development without sacrificing technical rigor. As a hands-on leader, you’ll contribute directly to the codebase—particularly in the early stages—to remove roadblocks, set the technical bar, and demonstrate best practices. This is a highly technical leadership role where you’ll be expected to lead by example, balancing strategic oversight with active involvement in building scalable, secure, and reliable systems. Responsibilities Build, lead, and scale a high-performing engineering team. Define and enforce strong engineering practices, workflows, and quality standards. Collaborate with leadership and product to align engineering execution with business goals. Drive hiring, onboarding, and development of engineers. Shape technical architecture and ensure security and compliance (SOC 2, etc.). Contribute directly to the codebase and unblock teams as needed. Champion a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and fast iteration. What Success Looks Like Engineering velocity increases without compromising quality. The team is high-performing, accountable, and aligned with company objectives. Technical systems are scalable, secure, and well-architected.
