Salary Range :
$155,000 - $205,000 annual salary
Position Overview
The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will be a strategic finance leader responsible for driving the companys budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-term planning processes. This role partners closely with the CFO, executive leadership, and Operations teams to deliver clear, actionable insights that inform decision-making and maximize value creation.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of building and leading FP&A functions in high-growth or private equity-backed environments, along with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Prior experience in the retirement plan third-party administration (TPA) industry is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all FP&A activities: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario planning. Partner with the CFO and executive leadership to set and execute short- and long-term financial strategies. Build and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance and growth opportunities. Analyze KPIs, operational metrics, and market trends to guide decisions. Prepare and present reports for the Board, private equity sponsors, and key stakeholders. Manage the annual budget process and maintain rolling forecasts. Implement and optimize FP&A systems and tools for better reporting and analysis. Support M&A activity from due diligence to integration and performance tracking. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA, CPA, or CFA strongly preferred). 10+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles, with 5+ years in leadership. Proven track record in private equity-backed environments, including sponsor and board engagement. Experience in retirement plan TPA or broader financial services preferred. Advanced financial modeling and analysis skills. History of driving operational and financial improvements. Expertise with FP&A and ERP systems (NetSuite a plus). Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across teams.
