* Job & Shift * Unit * Mother Baby (Couplet Care) * Unit Type * Mother Baby (Post Partum) * Division * Nursing * Care Setting * Acute * Shift Length * 12 * Guaranteed Hours * 36 hours per week * Years of Experience * 2 Years * License to Submit * Yes * BSN Required * No * Orientation Hours * 12 Hours * Required Certifications * BLS, NIHSS, NRP * Shift Notes * 12 hr Days, EOW, First to Float * Additional Details * Trauma Level * --- * Charting System * Cerner * Unit Notes * Unit: MB(Couplet Care) # of Postpartum beds- 23 at this time ready to be used. # of births per day, per year- Average 3-4 a day, 1100 a year Do ratios follow AWHONN guidelines? -4 couplets max Required Certifications- NRP fetal monitoring, BLS Common diagnoses/Types of patients- Postpartum moms and Newborns Experience or 'Must have' skills- 1 year postpartum experience Are RNs required to titrate drips?- NO Common titratable &/or set rate drips- NO Charge Nurse/House Supervisor- usually have a free charge nurse. Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? NO OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7?- yes RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc)- Pulse ox, Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?-NO EFM System- Fetal link, Cerner Shifts & Scheduling- 3 times a week Weekend Requirement- 1 weekend every other week Holiday Requirement- 1 major and 2 minor Is there a call or standby requirement? If census is low they may be placed on standby Floating Requirements NO Scrub Color/Dress code- NAVY Blue Unit/Department specific orientation- 1 Day of orientation.
