Trident is looking to hire a Recruiter to join the Alaska recruiting team and jumpstart their career in Human Resources. This individual will coordinate mass seasonal hiring for various shore plants in Alaska and will act as a point person for Alaska Operations teams by performing the below duties.
The ideal candidate will have related industry experience (food manufacturing, agriculture, fishery, etc.), proficiency in Spanish, excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage spreadsheets and organize data, and experience in high-volume staffing for industrial and manual labor positions.
Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)

Confers with Alaska plant management and supervisors to identify seasonal crew needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, job skills, and provide information about the organization and positions.
Manages the hiring process for multiple plants and/or vessels assigned. Includes the management of the recruiting database of candidates and all screenings associated to qualify the eligibility of candidates.
Works with the company travel agency to coordinate and reserve airline travel arrangements for employees during contract signing periods.
Initiates contact with possibly qualified candidates for specific job openings.
Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in the organization and provides information on company facilities, work environment, and job opportunities to potential applicants.
Travels to Alaska shore plants to facilitate applications for returning workers at the end of each season (2-4 weeks per year).
Uploads electronic documents into employee records.
Travels to other cities to conduct recruiting job fairs and interviews to attract new candidates each season as needed.
This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $33.65to $38.46.

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)
1-2 years’ experience in Human Resources, with at least 1 year of Human Resources administrative experience or 1-2 years related experience and/or training.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-6 months related experience and/or training.
Proficiency in Spanish.
Proven candidate sourcing and relationship-building skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to travel across the L48 states and to remote Alaska, up to 10%.
Available to work weekends as needed during contract signing seasons, typically January and June.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
Preferred education and experience
General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
Excellent presentation skills, in English and secondary language. Spanish speaking skills preferred.

Work environment (includes travel/on-call):
This hybrid position will be a combination of remote and onsite at the Trident Support Center office in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Our hybrid work environment includes remote work on Monday and Friday and in-office in the Support Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This role may require travel across the L48 states and to remote Alaska, up to 10%.
In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
