POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Support project teams in Research and Development by performing in vivo technical procedures, conducting experiments, and collecting, recording, and exporting data.
Engage with key in vivo contacts within project teams to understand their needs and collaborate effectively.
Contribute to operational excellence by compiling metrics that demonstrate support efficiency across project teams, including alignment with colleagues in CM for technical support and metrics.
Assist in basic veterinary medical treatments as prescribed by veterinary staff.
Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory and departmental standards, including animal study records and animal welfare documentation.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
As part of the Comparative Medicine (CM) team, you will collaborate with team members across CM operations, veterinary, science and technology, and research units.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of in vivo experience in pharmaceuticals or related fields.
AALAS certification is preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Required: Basic animal handling skills (rodents); in vivo techniques including dosing, blood collection, tissue collection, data recording, and basic analysis using Excel and Word.
Preferred: Tumor cell implantation, tumor volume measurement, in vivo imaging, and anesthesia setup.
PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Fit testing to work in a Vivarium.
Hard Skills
Animal handling, dosing, and blood collection experience (PO, IP, SubQ).
In vivo experimentation with mice.
