Position Description Summary

KKCS is seeking a

Construction Manager III Night Shift Area Resident Manager (NS-ARM)

to support the Coordination and Logistics Management (CALM) Program at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). Reporting directly to the CALM Manager and working closely with the Roadway Area Resident Manager Lead, this position plays a critical role in ensuring construction activities at LAX are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved shutdown procedures. The NS-ARM will oversee nighttime construction and logistics activities across the Central Terminal Area (CTA), parking structures, terminals, Central Utility Plant (CUP), and Airside Operations Areas (AOA Apron and Gates). This role is essential to maintaining operational continuity and guest safety during active construction. This is a

Full-time, Night Shift | SundayThursday, 9:00 PM 6:00 AM (with morning huddle at 6:30 AM)

Essential Job Duties

Serve as the night shift lead for CALM, coordinating with Airport Operations Night Managers (OPS 66), Airport Police, LAWA PM/Contractor Supervisors, and TDG Safety & Inspections. Ensure Area Shutdown Request (ASR) compliance across all assigned locations, including CTA Roadways, Parking Structures, CUP, Terminals, and AOA Apron/Gates. Review all Approved ASRs and associated documentation to verify project supervisors have current and correct paperwork on hand and in vehicles within construction zones. Conduct site observations to confirm construction activity compliance with safety and logistics requirements. Produce Nightly Reports documenting activities, issues, and conflicts, distributing to CALM team members, LAWA PM staff, and Safety & Inspection. Lead the morning huddle at 6:30 AM, providing a verbal and written update of ASR compliance and construction activities to day-shift stakeholders. Support the coordination of overlapping projects, resolving conflicts between contractors, operations, and safety teams. Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with all stakeholders to facilitate safe and efficient project execution.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years on large, complex, and operationally sensitive programs (airports preferred). Strong knowledge of shutdown and logistics procedures in active facilities. Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders including owners, contractors, operations, and public safety personnel. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and communication. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare and deliver concise reports under time pressure. Must pass a federal background check; LAWA badge required. Ability to work night shift hours consistently and adjust to changing schedules as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field. Prior experience with airport construction logistics or other 24/7 operational environments. Certifications such as PMP, PE, CCM, LEED, or AAAE are desirable.
