What Youll Need
Technical Requirements and Certifications
CompTIA Network+ is a plus.
Education And Experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), and operating systems. Familiarity with wireless networking standards (Wi-Fi 5/6), VLANs, and VPN technologies. Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail. Ability to troubleshoot network issues, analyze network traffic, and identify root causes. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work effectively with other engineers, IT staff, and users.
What Youll Do
Job Responsibilities:
Creating and maintaining network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software, including routers, switches, servers, and wireless access points. Monitoring network performance, identifying and resolving issues, and documenting network configurations and changes. Working with senior engineers on network projects, from planning to implementation. Assist in the deployment and maintenance of security measures, including firewalls, access control lists, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Providing technical support to users, troubleshooting network connectivity problems, and documenting solutions.
