The
Manager, External Reporting
is responsible for assisting with the preparation of Crane NXT’s financials reporting including quarterly and annual filings on Forms 10Q and 10K, and other SEC filings such as 8Ks. In addition, this role will be required to make technical accounting determinations and provide technical accounting guidance and support to other stakeholders across Crane NXT, including projects and acquisitions. This role reports into the Director, External Reporting. It has significant interaction with other corporate department leaders including Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Investor Relations as well as business unit Finance teams and the Corporate Controllership team. Responsibilities: Coordinating the preparation of SEC filings including working collaboratively with corporate department leaders and business unit finance teams to support all disclosures.
Performing technical accounting determinations; includes research on various topics including revenue recognition, business combinations and impairment analyses; and consulting with third party advisors, where necessary, to validate findings.
Documenting technical accounting positions in memos and presentations to senior management
Reviewing all financial disclosures included in Investor Relations presentations.
Coordinating and overseeing the external audit for Crane NXT as well as certain statutory audits and the annual benefit plan audits
Oversight of SOX controls related to financial reporting and corporate accounting.
Coordination of quarterly business unit reporting packages including balance sheet fluctuation analysis
Champion automation, technology and process improvements to minimize manual effort and increase the speed and accuracy of reporting.
Required Skills: Highly competent and knowledgeable of accounting principles and regulations: Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and U.S. GAAP standards and SEC reporting or global equivalent standard.
Ability to research and interpret relevant guidance to facilitate decision making.
Advanced technology user; uses technology to drive process efficiency; previous experience in implementing systems and processes.
Highly motivated and detailed oriented individual with a results-oriented mentality and commitment to continuous improvement.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Ability to work effectively with associates at varying levels across the Company.
Experience with Workiva is preferred.
Qualifications: BS/BA/BBA (Accounting) with CPA. Pay: The salary range for this role is competitive based on market pricing.
