We are working with a prominent, regional firm seeking an

Environmental Attorney

with at least eight years of U.S. environmental law experience to join their Uniondale or White Plains office. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in environmental regulatory compliance and litigation, coupled with experience in commercial real estate transactions and land use and development. Responsibilities include advising clients on federal and state environmental regulations (e.g., CERCLA, CAA, RCRA, ECL, SEQRA, NAV); representing clients in environmental litigation, permitting, and compliance matters; structuring, negotiating, and closing complex real estate transactions; leading environmental due diligence for M&A and project finance; drafting environmental provisions; managing permitting processes; supporting remediation strategies; collaborating with developers, lenders, and attorneys; reviewing environmental reports; and providing strategic counsel on related legal frameworks. The candidate must have extensive experience with permitting, compliance, and transactional environmental issues, support energy and infrastructure projects, and possess a strong understanding of environmental risk, legal frameworks, and technical data analysis. Knowledge of NEPA, CEQA, CERCLA, RCRA, UIC, ESA, and relevant regulations is essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams are required. A portable book of business is a plus. New York Bar admission is required; Connecticut and Massachusetts Bar admissions are a plus.
