Electrical Design Engineer (Transformer) (1 year Contract) #NKC

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The role involves preparing technical documentation for transformer tenders and supporting the full design process, from concept to manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: Prepare electrical calculations, cost estimates, and technical data for tender submissions. Analyze design requirements to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE). Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and provide technical support during the tender process. Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to source quotations for special accessories and equipment. Develop electrical designs and winding Bill of Materials (BOM), including schematic and layout drawings for transformer manufacturing. Perform feasibility studies and simulations to optimize performance. Support ad-hoc tasks such as site surveys, technical meetings, and preparation of approval drawings. Requirements: Min Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, preferably with a focus on electrical power engineering. Knowledge of transformer design and related industry standards (IEC, IEEE) is added advantage Proficient in AutoCAD 2D/3D or similar CAD software is added advantage Familiarity with programming languages like C, C++ is a plus.
