Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any Bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience directly related to the faculty’s teaching assignment;

OR Any Associate degree AND six years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment;

OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area;

All applicants must have demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff. The applicant must be able to demonstrate how these factors relate to the need for equity minded practices within the classroom.

This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.

This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.
