The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Coding and Education to lead a team that is pivotal in the transformation of the healthcare system. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the processes related to the review and coding of in-home health assessments, ensuring the quality of documentation and clinical consistency. This role involves developing and implementing strategies for coding processes, providing direction to CDI specialists and coders, and fostering collaboration between the CDI and coding departments. The Executive Director will also be tasked with extensive interaction and collaboration with various stakeholders, including physicians, departmental and operational leadership, and staff, to ensure that coding practices align with professional standards and compliance policies.
Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a strong work ethic, be self-starters, and demonstrate the ability to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The role requires a candidate with at least 10 years of management experience in a clinical setting, particularly with a focus on CDI, coding, and education teams. Expertise in CMS risk adjustment coding and RADV compliance standards is essential, as is a coding certification through AHIMA or AAPC. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and a proven track record of ICD-10 proficiency. Responsibilities also include overseeing staff training, setting and achieving quality and production targets, and managing strategic relationships both internally and externally.
