About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to serve as a key strategic executive leader, driving all aspects of workforce development and organizational operations. The COO will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of workforce development services in compliance with Federal and State regulations, Board directives, and organizational policies. This role involves overseeing operational and programmatic budgets, leading the design and implementation of systems and processes for optimal workforce development outcomes, and managing the organization's information technology and communications functions. The successful candidate will also be tasked with directing the organizational structure and staff, partnering with the executive team to execute operational infrastructure, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of progressive management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven expertise in project management, strategic planning, and organizational leadership is essential, as is a strong business and financial acumen. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data analysis, performance metrics, and experience with federal and state funding sources, particularly the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills are required, along with the ability to engage a Board of Directors and manage external stakeholder relationships.
